John Weil
Co-founder/Director/Principal Civil Engineer
BEng (Hons) MIEAust CPEng NER
John is a Chartered Professional Engineer with 20 years expertise in civil design consulting and civil construction. He has a proven track record in the design, supervision, and management of residential, commercial, and industrial land and property developments.
His comprehensive experience spans roads, drainage, pavements, sewer and water design, construction and supervision, bridge and culvert construction, large building foundation construction, and mine infrastructure projects.
John specialises in road geometry design, site grading, and stormwater quantity and quality modelling. He has designed and supervised numerous sewer and water main reticulation projects.
Outside work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, surfing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. He also enjoys brushing up on finance and stock market information.
Amanda Weil
Co-Founder/Business Manager
Amanda leads CivPlan’s business administration, training and human resources. She has over a decade of experience in management and education and draws on her expertise to effectively coordinate the CivPlan team.
Amanda is passionate about people and plays a vital role in setting CivPlan’s strategic direction. She excels in fostering CivPlan’s corporate culture and helps to create a symbiotic and harmonious workplace. Her warmth, skills and commitment make her an indispensable asset to our growing team.
Outside work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband John and their three boys, snowboarding, paddleboarding, and mountain biking. Amidst the hustle and bustle, she cherishes quiet moments with a good book.
Theo Prakash
Senior Civil Engineer
BEng (Civil)
Theo is a Senior Civil Engineer with 7 years experience in multiple branches of engineering design and delivery. He has seen civil engineering from multiple angles and has an exceptional understanding of the bigger picture and how the different aspects tie together.
With a background in local government, he’s helped to update design and development standards and has worked on the design and delivery of multifaceted projects.
Theo’s strong engineering design foundation and experience managing construction and maintenance teams drives his passion to deliver sustainable, effective and efficient solutions.
On the weekends Theo loves spending time with family and friends, cooking, or hiking out in the sun.
Samantha Gravett
Senior Civil Engineer
MProfEng (Civil) MEng (AssetMgmt) BA (Hons) (Geog) MIEAust CPAM
Samantha is a Professional Engineer with over 15 years of experience in both advisory roles and service delivery, specialising in motorways, tunnels, and large infrastructure assets. She has successfully contributed to numerous infrastructure projects across Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Her expertise lies in engineering asset management, project management, and digital strategy, with a strong background in GIS for infrastructure planning and design.
Driven by a passion for civil engineering, Samantha ensures that CivPlan projects adhere to best practice standards. Her dedication to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions tailored to meet client needs, underscores CivPlan’s reputation for excellence.
In her spare time, Samantha enjoys spending time with her husband and children, visiting the zoo, and walking her dog.
Josh Eves
Civil Engineer
BEng Civil (Hons)
Josh is one of CivPlan’s up-and-coming Civil Engineers. His works include civil designs for road, stormwater drainage, sewer, water, project management and flood studies.
Josh specialises in water quality, water quantity and flood modelling. He’s a creative problem solver and brings thoughtful environmental solutions to complex engineering challenges. He has completed a range of designs from multi-hectare industrial sub-divisions to greenfield residential projects and has a thorough knowledge of council standards to help progress project approvals.
Josh is passionate about engineering and applies his technical skills and abilities to enhance design and maximise project and environmental outcomes. He has also shared his expertise in Drains and Music flood modelling with others in the CivPlan team, contributing to the overall growth and development of our capabilities.
Aside from his professional pursuits, Josh enjoys staying active and catching up with his mates over a few beers.
Lucas Costa
Civil Engineer
BEng (Civil) MIEAust
Lucas is a qualified Civil Engineer with hands-on experience of infrastructure and civil and structural design. He has designed steel and reinforced concrete structures and managed construction of high-quality residential developments and commercial buildings.
Lucas specialises in designing infrastructure projects and applies his skills to roads geometry, subdivision planning, stormwater quantity drainage and rainwater quality treatment, flood studies, design and construction of culverts, and water and sewer design.
Lucas is passionate about civil engineering, attentive to detail and demonstrates critical and efficient thinking. He’s a highly skilled professional who explores different possibilities and new technologies to achieve innovative client focused outcomes.
In his spare time, Lucas is found surfing, camping, exploring new places with his wife or meeting up with his friends.
Aerson Duya
Civil Engineer
BEngSc (Civil) MIEAust
Aerson is a qualified Civil Engineer with over 10 years of engineering and hands-on experience. He started out as a field engineer with high-rise buildings and tunnels. His expertise has broadened to cover civil design of roads, subdivision lots, stormwater drainage, sewer, and water.
Aerson has demonstrated experience in construction along with a passion for shaping urban and rural landscapes. He brings precision and excellence to CivPlan, navigating programs easily, and tackling complex challenges.
Aerson is a key contributor to CivPlan’s success, delivering a blend of technical expertise, best practice, and an appetite for innovation.
Aerson enjoys traveling with his wife and two active boys, exploring new places, and indulging in retail therapy.
Joel Moy
Civil Designer
Joel is a Civil Designer with over 6 years drafting and design experience on projects ranging from small subdivisions to large multi-staged residential and industrial subdivisions. He is an exceptional drafter and designer with a strong technical skill set and a thorough understanding of how to design roads, drainage and lot grading.
Joel applies his design skills and knowledge, to solve problems and brings unique solutions to projects, designs and systems. He thrives when he can dive into the technical side of programs and enjoys getting creative to develop efficient and effective methods that benefit our team and clients.
In his spare time, Joel enjoys playing computer games, soccer and spending quality time with his partner.
Casey Lockeridge
Project Administrator
Dip Mgmt (Practice) Cert IV HR
Casey is our dedicated Project Administrator and a linchpin at CivPlan. She supports the engineers and design teams and facilitates project coordination with a fast-paced administrative approach.
With over 15 years business administration experience, a keen eye for detail and impeccable customer service skills, Casey streamlines the workflow at CivPlan.
Casey is interested in all facets of project co-ordination, and sets the bar for speed, data accuracy and uniformity.
Outside professional endeavours, Casey’s spare time is dedicated to family and personal pursuits. Whether she’s focusing on renovating projects or enjoying quality time with her loved ones.
Tanya Ballat
Business Administrator
BComms (PR)
Tanya provides the CivPlan team with essential business support. She manages office communications, business administration and logistics. Tanya makes sure the team has what they need, when they need it.
Tanya brings high-level administration and communications skills to the team with over 20 years experience across government, telecommunications, gas, and transport sectors.
With a keen drive for helping others, she is genuinely dedicated to effective communications, work health and safety and delivering accurate and efficient service to CivPlan’s clients.
In her spare time, Tanya is a Scrabble enthusiast who enjoys DIY projects and exploring the beautiful Shoalhaven with family and friends.
